it's already half past a bear!

Hi there!

first, i'll try not to make those posts too long cause i know there are people who hates this long emails travelers use to send. and in any case, if it will be long, i'll try to sumorrize it at the begining... (i'm ok, doing great, having fun, saw bears, met interesting people - no need to read further...)

oh, and another thing - that is a post i tried to post once, so it won't be updated (i hope to post another one right after that one).

well, the two rivers' walk was nice, and the rodeo was nice too. Not thrilling (i didn't really know what's going on) but it was a positive experience...

anyway, the next day i got a ride from quesnel with some guy going to Prince Rupert, which made me change my plans again - i decided not to make the alcan but to go through another way, which is shorter by about 200 km (or miles, i'm not sure) and i was tald it's not less beautifull but fewer people go through it so there is more chance for wildlife.

"and I, I picked the one less trroden by and that made all the difference"

in the way, my ride stop for a break at a casino near Prince George, where i made a little fortune (well, more little than a fortune - 75 canadian cents. about 3 shekels!). the guy who took me lost 200$ canadians there!

well, he left me at kitwanga (i think that's the name of the place - the intersection of Hwy 16 and Hwy 37), and i spent the night there.
in the morning i got a ride with this canadian-indian-Bill guy, which was great - he's been so nice to me (more on that in the next blog!).
anyway, it turned out that he's the president of the developement company of his nation (Tahltan), and that i should visit telegraph creek - a beautifull place close to the place where he'll leave me.

and he tald me that every time he went that way, he saw a bear, so i have what to look for...

and indeed, quite soon we saw a brown bear. unfortunately we only got to see his ass vanishing in the bushes by the road.
but a couple of hours later, there was this black bear, crossing the road, and than he start eating right beside the road, and we got like 3 m from him! and he didn't even look at us!
man that was great!
say, does anyone know if the politiclly correct form of this is "person that was great"?

well, and besides the road was very beautifull. mountains, rivers, trees, snowy peaks at the background... plus, Bill is an interesting guy...

well, it's already longer than i thought, so i hope things will get better in Israel (though i find it hard to believe in it)
